Our next seminar and annual business meeting is April 8, 2010 at Greenbrook Manor in Somerset County with the focus on Culture Change and Regulatory Compliance. We will be handing out our State Awards, raffling off a free registration to Convocation 2010 to a member who is present, and voting for officers. Our June 10 seminar will be at Bergen Regional Medical Center in Paramus regarding the new QIS survey process and brought to us by McKesson. If you are interested in joining the college, there is an on-line form at the national website (http://achca.org/joomla/index.php/membership).

The state chapter is on the move! We are providing 20 CEUs annually and doing so around the state. We have a wonderful newsletter with guest writers from NJ such as Paul Langevin, Jr, Gary Hirschmann, Rick Speranza, and Mark Zimmet as well as writers from across the nation. We have peer recognition and state awards, as well as national awards. We won three awards between personal and state at last year’s national convocation. This year we are a host chapter for the national convocation which will be in Philadelphia May 14-18. We will have NJ renowned speakers as well as national caliber speakers. Last year we supported 21 members in attending convocation and had a record 30 members in attendance. We gave away one free registration and offered the first 20 who registered a $250 check to help defray their costs. As of this writing, we expect to do even more this year, so register early and be one of the first.

We would love to have you participate in chapter leadership! We are always looking for good Administrators who want the professional growth and peer support and camaraderie. We offer advancement opportunities for your credentials and a national listserv of your peers where you can ask any questions and get helpful responses from some of the best in the country.
