President's Welcome

Welcome to our webpage for the state chapter. We are glad that you have stopped by for a visit. If you are a vendor or business sponsor, we appreciate your support. Our newest letter regarding our vendor program can be found here.

The state chapter is on the move! We are providing at least 20 CEUs annually and doing so around the state. We have a wonderful award winning newsletter with guest writers from New Jersey such as Paul Langevin, Jr., Gary Hirschmann, Rick Speranza and Mark Zimmet, as well as writers from across the nation. In the past, we have won peer recognition and state awards, as well as national awards. We brought home even more awards (both personal and state) last year, and provided scholarships equal to the early bird registration for all NJ members in attendance as well as one full scholarship to cover airfare, hotel and registration. We are also pleased to announce that we have been invited to join the Long Term Leaders Coalition.

At our September Meeting, Francis Soucy won a full scholarship to the Winter Market Place in Las Vegas in December (9-11) and we hope some of you will join us there. At our annual meeting on April 4 we will announce our scholarships for the 2012 Convocation and 50th Anniversary Celebration for the College in Nashville May 4-8, 2012. We hope to have a large contingency and come back with several awards.

We would love to have you participate in chapter leadership! We are always looking for good Administrators who want the professional growth, peer support and camaraderie. We offer advancement opportunities for your credentials and a national listserv of your peers where you can ask any questions and get helpful responses from some of the best in the country. There are State and National Offices and we currently have 2 National Board Members from NJ. Our members serve on the Boards of the HCANJ, Leading Age NJ (formerly NJAHSA) and the NJ NHA licensure Board.

Join the college and grow your career. If you are a member, consider becoming more active.  Consider advancing - there are only 10 Certified Nursing Home Administrators in the State of NJ right now!! I can tell you how to advance. And please nominate some Administrators for awards, both state and national.
